All About Me
I have been fascinated by the marvels of South Africa's fauna and flora since I was a kid. In recent years, I have been exploring it a bit more closely, trying to "tick" off the South African Snake and Scorpion species, as well as photographing succulents that I find along the way.
I am mainly interested in Snakes, Scorpions, Haworthia and Stapeliads at the moment. I have been doing field trips with clients showing them some of the wonders which are hidden in plain sight. With the correct guide at your assistance, these can be enjoyed in a calm and safe environment.

Scorpion Hunting
South Africa boasts with around 100 described species of scorpions, and many more species waiting in the pipeline.
This Scorpion Hunt entails a night walk with UV lights to get to know these creatures and learn more about them, seeing what makes them so abundant in areas where they occur. Although all of these species are venomous, only a hand full are considered to have a sting that is dangerous to people, luckily there is an effective antivenom available, and deaths are exceptionally rare.
Reptile day trip
The Western Cape, the region where I reside, in 2014 according to the Reptile Red List, is home to somewhat 150 species. Some areas are considered hotspots, which makes for the potential to easily see several species during a day trip.
On such a Reptile Day Trip, the itinerary is to visit an area in which I have had decent luck with finding several reptilian critters, then ending the day off with a night walk to photograph some chameleons while they are sleeping.
Succulent Plant Tour
Visiting South Africa for our diverse succulents is easier said than done, as some of these plants are easily walked over without being spotted.
I do a different set of tours.
Ranging from a one day trip to one Week Trip.
I also do specialized tours to fit your schedule and requirements
All trips are done around Haworthia Localities, but they frequently cooccur with several other plants in the area and are good destinations to see the amazing succulent diversity South Africa can offer.
